Study Island Information
Study Island is the program the county has adopted to benchmark students at 4 different intervals throughout the year to demonstrate growth and progress. In addition to benchmarking students are asked to complete blue ribbons in several subjects to practice standards throughout the year. This process will help students retain information and perform better on standardized tests. As we complete a standard I will add it to the list students may earn a blue ribbon on. Please remind students not to try and earn a blue ribbon until we have studied the concept. 7th grade due (we are going to the lab 1/14) blue ribbons due 1/30/15 with parent signature 6a Interpret Graphs 6b Select Graph Type 6c Central Tendency Spread 7th Grade assigned and due 12/8 (12 total) evaluate algebraic expressions solve linear equation solve linear inequalities proportional relationships proportion and scale scale factor similar trianglesprprprove gealuate algabnraec 7th Grade- assigned due 10/2 pre-test order of operations cubes, roots, squares compare and order rational numbers real world problems 8th-3 blue ribbons due 1/30/15 with parent signature 5b angles and lines 5d intersection of geometric figures 6b scatterplots 8th grade - assigned and due 12/8 (12 total) Systems of Equations Solve Linear Equations Inequalities Linear Representations Linear and Non linear Slope Linear Graphs 8th grade - assigned due 10/2 Pre-test compare and order numbers rational and irrational numbers scientific notation Pythagorean theorem |
